History has been made in Jeddah!

Ahmed Ahmed and Friends Comedy Show took place in Jeddah last night and it was AMAZING. Seriously, it was one of the best events this city has ever seen. Hopefully this is just the beginning! Those who didn’t come missed out on one hell of a show!

Due to certain prior committments, I couldn’t make it early or help in the organization but I managed to arrive just before 9 pm. The show started around 10. Waiting with my fellow comedians in the back room, I was nervous and jumping up and down in my place. The venue was packed! There were almost 1000 guys and girls there! There were also families, press and most importantly, my friends and brother who came to support me! I missed NbNb and my sis.

We decided that Omar Hussein would go up first to open up. The “marra marra” and “lolz” dude to those of you who attended. Of course, he was fantastic! The best opener. I was up next and my skit was mainly about Valentine’s and Jeddah’s speed-bumps and holes! Us, the local comedians who got chosen at the auditions, had less than 10 minutes of on stage time but man o’ man it was thrilling! I had much more to say but had to be picky due to time restraints! But the most important thing, I MADE ALMOST 1000 PPL LAUGH! Thank God it went well. Actually more than well. Thanks a lot to everyone who laughed and those who didn’t

After me came Hussein , the guy in Thobe, and he’s such a nice funny gentleman. When he said 0504 when he first came up I burst out laughing. After him Omar Ramzy, white Soudani, took the stage and made us all laugh too. Stupid ass students! Fahad Fatani also had 5 minutes on stage after Omar. He’s one of the local Riyadh comedians and had performed in the shows there.

After him came Khalid Khalifa who’s a professional comedian and one of the people I’m happy to have met during those weeks. Hopefully it’s not the last time I see him. 

Rahman, a Pakistani professional comedians was next and he was hilarious! 

Ahmed Ahmed was the last one to perform naturally and he was really funny! Those videos on youtube really doesn’t do him justice. Ahmed man you brought down the house last night !

After the show was done, we all did interviews on Rotana channel then hung out with the audience. I got a lot of great comments alhamdellah. Everyone was extra sweet with me and I really appreciated their nice feedback. We took pictures and just enjoyed the moment.

Certainly, this was a night to remember and I’m still getting flashbacks. Hopefully, this is only the beginning and we’ll see more shows of this sort and inshallah this is not going to be my last performance.
